I work remotely from the Sunshine Coast, taking briefs by phone, Skype, FaceTime, email or in person (though I do not visit anyone to their home and will meet at a local coffee shop or place of business).
My prices start at a flat rate of $1600. Depending on the features you require it will cost more. But the beauty with WordPress is that you can add features at any time so you don’t have to spend the big bucks right away. We can work around your budget. And don’t forget to ask me about my 4-easy-payment plan.
Unless you choose a 4-easy-payment plan, I require 50% upfront and the rest on completion, within 8 weeks.
Web Design is NOT a fixed priced project but based on 40 hours of work billed in two instalments (initial deposit and two days before site goes LIVE) at a discounted pre-paid rate of $40/hour and must be completed within 8 weeks. In all cases all fees are due PRIOR to website going live. Content, including text, graphics, must be received from the client as agreed to. Failure to do so will change the timeline of the project and will result in delays. Changes to the initial agreed upon plan, including but not limited to any change in scope of the website, coding or graphics work, new features or functionality, new content, reworking or adding new graphics/photos, hosting support, additional phone consultations or email correspondence, and/or other similarly not previously agreed to work, is billable at $90/hour.
Setting up the website is completed within 8 weeks. It depends on how fast I get the required content as from experience it is what’s causing the delays.
I charge a standard AU$90/hour across the board, whether it’s on design, training or consulting. Overtime and rush rates are charged at AU$150/hour.
My clients come to me for different purposes. They might need a little bit of help on their Facebook page or Twitter account; they want to learn about SEO or WordPress. Sometimes they need a brand new website, etc. I don’t register anything under my name as other web design agencies sometimes do, which means once my clients are done with me, they can do anything they want to, including updating their website to their liking and the end result might not be what I originally set up. Some of them have given up on their projects and moved on… Either way, I don’t keep anyone hostage and I don’t stalk my clients either once my job is done. I hear from some of them once a year and that is fine by me. But if you really do need references, I can provide you names of clients who will vouch for my work.
