Hi and thank you for checking me out.
I learned about online marketing when I first got the Internet one day in 1997. It started with the “Get Paid to Surf” programs then moved to owning a “safe list” which was a popular way back then to promote affiliate products. I built my first website with PHPNuke and then dabbled into building websites with FrontPage until WordPress started to become popular. It has been an on and off adventure since then, but the bottom line is, setting up websites has remained as one of my passions.
My friends always looked up to me for solving their computer problems, not that I am a technician by any means, but even the simplest steps of connecting a printer or setting up their Internet seemed to always be such a complicated thing to them. Very often I had to call customer support on their behalf because “I don’t understand the technical stuff, but Pris does”!
I am not saying I know everything though, but when I don’t know something I will go out of my way to find out what it is all about. I have a thirst for learning new skills, especially when related to Information Technology.
Something Simple Will Do was created at the end of a four years mid-life crisis, traveling around the globe, working for different types of businesses and self-learning of everything related to the Internet. I decided it was time to start something I am most passionate about: setting up websites and explaining to people how to manage their online presence and how to not get ripped off.
In my spare time, amongst other things, I play video games on my xbox, I blog and I am a full time university mature student doing a Bachelor of Creative Writing with minors in Journalism, Social Media and Criminology.
I love what I do. I am proud that I have self-taught everything and that I am always learning something new to keep up with the technology -as it is an everyday changing world especially with the Internet and Google. That is why I am dedicated to superior customer service. I love helping, and no job is ever too small. If you just need help to login to your Facebook page , need a couple of changes to your web page or you may just have a few questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
As of June 2018, I’m a full time student at the University of The Sunshine Coast (year 2), doing a bachelor of Creative Writing, a minor in Social Media, and a minor in Journalism. As the university has announce a Social Media major starting in 2019, I’ll be changing my major and Creative Writing as a minor. If everything goes well, I intend to carry on to get a major in journalism.
